Walk to School Week

As always we are supporting "Walk to School Week" from Monday 20th - Friday 24th May (don't forget the school is closed on Thursday 23rd for Polling Day). We would encourage you all to walk if you can, in addition there are a number of activities next week, including Funky Sock Day and competitions as shown below.

Nursery - Design an odd pair of funky socks that stand out on worksheet provided

Reception - Children can take part in a pedometer walking challenge next Wednesday at 12.30pm. Children will be encouraged by JTAs to take part and will walk around field 3 times (with their funky socks).

Year 1/2 - Walking Bears competition. Children can walk to school with their favourite bear. They can then draw pictures of themselves with their bears on their journey to school on the sheet provided. If possible can we also encourage parents to take photos of their children with their bears on the way to school?

Year 3-6 - Happy Shoesday competition. Children design a 'happy shoe'. The best design will receive a prize.

All entries for competitions must be given to JTAs by Wednesday 22nd May. Prizes will be handed out after half term.
