Knitted Poppy Appeal

To mark the centenary of the end of the First  World War on Remembrance Sunday in November, Leader of Redbridge Council, Cllr Jas Athwal wants the Redbridge Community to create a display of thousands of knitted poppies which will adorn the front of the Town Hall in Ilford. People are being asked to knit a simple and basic Red and Black poppy which will be placed on netting and displayed on the Town Hall balconies to commemorate the 100th Centenary since the end of the Great War. Further information will be available on www.redbridge.gov.uk
