Parental Engagement at Gilbert Colvin

  • ‘Meet the Teacher’ Session (September) – an introduction to your child’s class and curriculum.
  • Three Parents’ Evenings – dedicated time to discuss your child’s progress.
  • Open Classroom Sessions & Stay and Plays – a chance to see learning in action.
  • Class Assemblies - each class performs an assembly to parents showcasing what they’ve been learning.
  • Curriculum Workshops – offering insight into how we teach key subjects and strategies for parents.
  • Monthly Parent Forums – a space to share feedback and discuss school initiatives.

In addition to these opportunities, we offer tailored support to individual families based on the needs of their child.

Our first Parent Forum is on Friday 19th September at 9.15-10.00am. However, parents can chat with senior leaders at our upcoming parents' evenings on Wednesday 22nd October and Thursday 23rd October. We look forward to seeing you there.
