Tag Rugby

Tag Rugby Festival 2024

Gilbert Colvin Primary school attended the Redbridge Tag – Rugby Festival held at Wanstead Rugby Club.
Nine Year 3/4 pupils represented the school having very little experience of the game. The morning session was made up of warm up games, learning a range of skills and getting to know the rules of the game. After lunch the children competed against four others schools in 8 minute games. Winning 2, drawing 1, and losing 1. The children had a fun day, learnt how to play a new game and were a credit to the school.

Redbridge Hockey Festival

Gilbert Colvin attended the Redbridge Hockey Festival, they were against seven other schools, from around the borough.

They took part in a variety of games in a carousel format, scoring points at each base. They were facing different challenges, learning new skills, while adding to their points tally.

The children worked really hard, set a good example and represented the school impeccably.

After the scores were totalled up Gilbert Colvin came third and were awarded bronze medals.
